Upcoming UNION ARENA TCG Releases
Wondering when that hot new UNION ARENA set is coming to the English version of the game?
To make it easy on you, I’ve compiled the complete release schedule for the UNION ARENA English version to date, including all upcoming sets, and even those without official dates yet.
How do UNION ARENA set releases work?
One of the most unique things about UNION ARENA compared to other popular TCGs is its focus on specific anime per each release. Because each set contains a different IP (or an add-on in the case of Vol. 2s), players and collectors have the unique opportunity to pick and choose what sets they invest in quite easily, as opposed to other TCGs where releases add onto the core game, often cajoling you to “pay to play” if you want to stay competitively viable.
Because you can only build decks with cards from one specific anime, in UNION ARENA you really don’t need to buy every single set if you don’t want to, and power creep is much less of an issue in this game than in most TCGs. Decks tend to stay competitively viable much longer as a result, helping make the investments you do choose to make into sets go much farther.
With all that being said, you’re probably wondering when your favorite anime’s set is hitting shelves at stores near you. UNION ARENA release schedule quick links
Jujutsu Kaisen – November 22, 2024
The third UNION ARENA set to be released was Jujutsu Kaisen. Like the previous sets released, it came with a starter deck and booster box, as well as the very cool storage box/playmat option. JJK had an instant impact on the UNION ARENA meta and the Blue Sukuna deck is the most popular in the game at the moment.

Code Geass – December 13, 2024
Just in time for Christmas, Code Geass released on December 13, 2024 to pretty big hype given it’s powerful new deck strategies and valuable new cards.
While this set didn’t get a starter deck, it did get plenty of additional support including an exclusive release event winner card, a rare battle, and some insanely powerful decks like Code Geass Purple that have fully changed the meta.
Code Geass Booster Box
Demon Slayer – January 24, 2025
Unlike Code Geass, Demon Slayer got its own starter deck based on the powerful Nezuko/Tanjiro dynamic. starter deck along with it that came out one week ahead of the main release on January 17, 2025. Although this set isn’t the most powerful we’ve seen from UNION ARENA, Tanjiro Yellow is a top tier deck. Meanwhile, the Tanjiro serialized SR*** card looks absolutely gorgeous and is drawing an impressive market value online.

One Punch Man – March 7, 2025
Hopefully February doesn’t prove to be too much of a downer for UNION ARENA fans as there isn’t a single release planned during this time. However, we do get One Punch Man in early March to make up for the gap. Hopefully One Punch Man doesn’t totally break the game – he does beat every body in one punch.
I could see UNION ARENA having a lot of fun making a mechanic out of this gimmicky aspect of the show, and plenty of people will be excited to take Saitama out onto the arena to duel.
One Punch Man products
There are a few noteworthy specifications to highlight from the upcoming One Punch Man set. For starters, One Punch veers off course from the last several expansions in what its ultimate chase card is going to be. Unlike those sets that contained an incredibly rare serialized card, this set will be more akin to the phenomenal BLEACH expansion, featuring a top chase SR*** card with a signature from the anime cast.
The triple star rare isn’t the only card getting a signature in this expansion, however: we’re also going to be getting six additional signature art cards to chase. While these likely won’t posses the same kind of value as the triple star simply because they aren’t as scarce, they’re still a worthy chase for fans of the anime and the game.
The best way to get these signature rare cards are going to be from One Punch Man booster boxes.
One Punch Man starter deck release date: February 28, 2025
There will also be a starter deck available in this set as with most UA sets. Starter decks contain exclusive cards you can only get from purchasing them so they’re certainly worth picking up for their affordable price point. The One Punch Man starter deck release date also coincides with the release event period for One Punch. During this time UA players can attend release events where they will build decks from packs and compete for an exlusive winner card.
One Punch Man releases simultaneously in English and Japan
For the first time in UNION ARENA, a set released simultaneously in Japan and North America. This put added excitement and anticipation on the One Punch Man set as players really have no idea what to expect from this incredibly hyped set. Could it break the game? Could it really offer nothing competitively at all? What will the full set list be?
While the set did end up being very strong with several competitive decks, the UNION ARENA meta remains healthy and it certainly did not break the game.
Sword Art Online – May 2, 2025
UA fans were excited to say the least when the official announcement for this set joining the English version of the game came out. However, it’s coming earlier than what many of us likely assumed, hitting shelves as early as late April/Early May. While the booster box and packs will hit shelves May 2, 2025, the starter deck releases even earlier on April 25, 2025.

BLEACH Vol. 2 – May 30, 2025
UNION ARENA fans weren’t expecting to see the second Volume for BLEACH popping up this early. Fans of that anime and of the first set don’t have to wait long to enhance their strategies and decks with new cards.
We’ve already had an early look at many BLEACH Vol. 2 spoilers in English, including an alt art Ichigo card. Additionally, I’ve gone ahead and taken a look at the Vol. 2 already released in Japan, and put together some early predictions for what the best BLEACH Vol. 2 decks are going to be.
This set will be absolutely broken when it comes out, with Purple BLEACH once again taking the reins of the meta in hand.
Black Clover – May 30, 2025
Interestingly enough, Black Clover will be seeing its release at the same time as BLEACH Volume 2. That should create plenty of excitement for UA fans who get to not only try out the newest cards in BLEACH’s second volume but to also pit their favorite Soul Reaper against Black Clover decks and strategies.
Latest Release: Jujutsu Kaisen Vol. 2 – June 27, 2025
Not long after Jujutsu Kaisen released in the English version we got the second volume confirmed the following year. JJK fans won’t have to wait too long to upgrade their decks with new cards, as the next set will be releasing right in the middle of 2025.
It should be interesting to see what more powerful cards this set brings into JJK’s arsenal. Already Blue Sukuna is the best and most played deck in the game. Could it get any better?
I guess we will just have to wait and see!
Next Release: Fullmetal Alchemist – July 25, 2025
Fullmetal Alchemist Booster Box
Fullmetal Alchemist Starter Deck
Fullmetal Alchemist will be hitting shelves near you on July 25, 2025 right in the middle of summer. Hopefully everyone will get some time off around then to enjoy this exciting new set during that time. While the full release is slated for July 25, 2025, the release event period starts a little earlier on July 18, 2024 when the starter deck gets released.
Given the insane popularity and near legendary status among anime enjoyers that show has, this set feels destined to be a big one.
Checkout the Fullmetal Alchemist decks and how they stack up competitively.
Attack On Titan – August 29, 2025
You can’t have a massive anime like Attack on Titan enter the arena and not cause a stir. The most talked about character from this set, however, is likely Levi – a character who can attack three times and gains Snipe on the last attack. Incredible. See the signed SR** cards you can get in the booster pack via the images below.
Code Geass Vol. 2 – August 29, 2025
Code Geass Vol. 2 is going to be a big set to watch for players. Both Purple and Green Code Geass have been mainstays in the English meta since the original set, and both look stronger coming out of Vol. 2. As if that weren’t enough, a powerful new energy color in the form of Blue Code Geass looks like it has plenty of gas, as well. However, it’s the upgrade to the Pizza deck that I’m most looking forward to, thanks largely to the new C.C. Raid (seen in her SR** below).
Rurouni Kenshin – September 26, 2025
At GAMA Expo 2025, Bandai leaked the fact that we will be getting yet another classic anime set added to the roster – this time in the form of Rurouni Kenshin. Since then, the set has been officially acknowledged by Bandai along with the September 26, 2025 release date.
The Rurouni Kenshin starter deck contents have already been revealed, and honestly you might be tempted to pick this up even if only for how epic the included AP looks. Addtionally, we’ve been given a sneak preview on what the top chase cards – the SR** and above – will look like.
Hunter X Hunter – September 26, 2025
The same month Kenshin comes out we’ll also be getting a Vol. 2 for Hunter x Hunter.
Yu Yu Hakusho – October 31, 2025
Kaiju No. 8 – October 31, 2025
Nikke: Goddess of Victory – November 28, 2025
Nikke has been confirmed for late November, 2025. The set is one of the most hyped for UNION ARENA, and if sales numbers from other card games featuring this IP are any indicator, this should certainly be a big set for the game. However, we’ve not seen a ton in regards to cards officially revealed in English for this game yet. What has been spoiled you can see via the gallery below.
Demon Slayer Vol. 2 – December 12, 2025
Demon Slayer has been one of the most popular sets released in the English version of the game. However, there was certainly a power problem with that deck, with the majority of its decks falling into the mid-tier at best. However, that being said Vol. 2 should bring a ton of enhanced power for this anime, hopefully making more of its strategies viable.
Sword Art Online Vol. 2 – January 30, 2026
2025 may have included countless top-notch titles coming into the game, it looks like 2026 will also start with a bang. Bandai has confirmed via the official UNION ARENA English Version X account that Sword Art Online Vol. 2 and Evangelion will be the first two releases of next year, with both releasing on January 30, 2026.
Evangelion – January 30, 2026
Coming Soon to UNION ARENA
In addition to the releases above, several highly anticipated releases have been promised, although without dates provided. These include:
Solo Leveling
Solo Leveling has been promised by Bandai but has not received official release dates yet.
Tokyo Ghoul
KAGURABACHI – the first UNION ARENA set based on a manga
Although UNION ARENA is usually hailed as an “anime” card game, it seems like that rule might be broken with the upcoming Kagurabachi set – a manga with an anime plan but one that is not yet an anime. How will a manga adaptation translate itself to the card game? It could be an interesting experiment in style for the UNION ARENA production team, letting them step outside typical anime screenshots into either original artwork or captures from the manga itself.
Needless to say, there are some very, very exciting things to come in UNION ARENA. Just when we think the English release schedule couldn’t get any more exciting, new and popular IPs are added. What will be next? While there’s no way to know for sure, I think we can rest assured that great things are in store for the world’s favorite IP battler TCG!
