Upcoming UNION ARENA TCG Releases

One of the most unique things about UNION ARENA compared to other popular TCGs is its focus on specific anime per set. This means collectors theoretically can space out their purchases as they wait for the anime they are a fan of. This could potentially help with power creep (assuming the game remains balanced). Assuming things are kept even, perhaps your BLEACH Purple deck you build today could withstand the test of time until the next BLEACH set gets released.

Regardless, let’s take a look at the upcoming UNION ARENA English releases you should be excited about.

Past release: Jujutsu Kaisen – November 22, 2024

The latest UNION ARENA set to be released was Jujutsu Kaisen. Like the previous sets released, it came with a starter deck and booster box, as well as the very cool storage box/playmat option. JJK had an instant impact on the UNION ARENA meta and the Blue Sukuna deck is the most popular in the game at the moment.

Latest release: Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion – December 13, 2024

Just in time for Christmas, Code Geass released on December 13, 2024 to pretty big hype given it’s powerful new deck strategies and valuable new cards.

While this set didn’t get a starter deck, it did get plenty of additional support including an exclusive release event winner card, a rare battle, and some insanely powerful decks like Code Geass Purple that have fully changed the meta.

Next release: Demon Slayer – January 24, 2025

Unlike Code Geass, Demon Slayer will be getting a starter deck along with it that will come out one week ahead of the main release on January 17, 2025. Many exciting new cards have already been revealed online, like the triple star, serialized Tanjiro alt art card.

Check out the main products that will be available following the starter deck and booster pack release dates!

One Punch Man – March 7, 2025

Hopefully February doesn’t prove to be too much of a downer for UNION ARENA fans as there isn’t a single release planned during this time. However, we do get One Punch Man in early March to make up for the gap. Hopefully One Punch Man doesn’t totally break the game – he does beat every body in one punch.

I could see UNION ARENA having a lot of fun making a mechanic out of this gimmicky aspect of the show, and plenty of people will be excited to take Saitama out onto the arena to duel.

Sword Art Online – May 2, 2025

Sword Art Online – May 2, 2025

UA fans were excited to say the least when the official announcement for this set joining the English version of the game came out. However, it’s coming earlier than what many of us likely assumed, hitting shelves as early as Late April/Early May. While the booster box and packs will hit shelves May 2, 2025, the starter deck hits shelves even earlier on April 25, 2025.

BLEACH: Thousand Year Blood War Volume 2 – May 30, 2025

UNION ARENA fans weren’t expecting to see the second Volume for BLEACH popping up this early. Fans of that anime and of the first set don’t have to wait long to enhance their strategies and decks with new cards.

Although they haven’t released spoilers in English yet, from the image it looks like we can definitely expect some enhancements to come to our favorite characters like Rukia, Ichigo, and Renji just as those same characters gain enhancements to their own abilities from Area Zero to better fend off the Quincy.

Black Clover – May 30, 2025

Black Clover

Interestingly enough, Black Clover will be seeing its release at the same time as BLEACH Volume 2. That should create plenty of excitement for UA fans who get to not only try out the newest cards in BLEACH’s second volume but to also pit their favorite Soul Reaper against Black Clover decks and strategies.

Jujutsu Kaisen Vol.2 – June 27, 2025

Jujutsu Kaisen Vol.2

Not long after Jujutsu Kaisen released in the English version we got the second volume confirmed the following year. JJK fans won’t have to wait too long to upgrade their decks with new cards, as the next set will be releasing right in the middle of 2025.

It should be interesting to see what more powerful cards this set brings into JJK’s arsenal. Already Blue Sukuna is the best and most played deck in the game. Could it get any better?

I guess we will just have to wait and see!

Fullmetal Alchemist – July 25, 2025

Fullmetal Alchemist will be hitting shelves near you on July 25, 2025 right in the middle of summer. Hopefully everyone will get some time off around then to enjoy this exciting new set during that time. While the full release is slated for July 25, 2025, the release event period starts a little earlier on July 18, 2024 when the starter deck gets released.

Here are two artworks on cards you can get when the set comes out, as well as a snapshot of the products revealed.

Given the insane popularity and near legendary status among anime enjoyers that show has, I’m sure the expansion will be a good one.

Confirmed sets without release dates

In addition to the above sets that have fully confirmed release dates, Bandai has confirmed additional titles that will be coming to the English version of the game, although their exact release dates remain unknown.

Needless to say, there are some very, very exciting things to come in UNION ARENA, and given the quality of the artwork we’ve seen from chase cards and how fun the game is to play, I don’t think this game is likely to dissapoint!
